Our office has three full time lawyers: Blair Jones, Elizabeth Miron and Courtney O’Connor.
Blair Jones
Born and raised in Petawawa, Blair welcomed the opportunity to return to his hometown to pursue his legal career.
Blair completed an undergraduate honours degree at Queen’s University. He then obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa Law School, graduating magna cum laude. After articling at the Ottawa firm of Rasmussen Starr Ruddy in 1995, he returned to the Pembroke area in 1995 to start in private practice.
He recalls the early years as exciting and challenging. One client at a time, he started to build a practice and establish a name in the legal community. Over the years, he has been fortunate to secure a large client base, and to develop a referral network with other professionals. “It is very satisfying to have clients return, to have them refer their friends, and to have others in this business put their trust in you”, he says.
Blair also feels a sincere commitment to his clients because of his roots in Renfrew County.
“This is home for me, my wife and our extended families”, he says. “You have to do a good job for people because in a small town, people know you and they know your family. Integrity is important. Here, your reputation really matters.”
Currently, Blair restricts his practice to matters involving real estate, business transactions as well as Wills and Estate Administration. Blair draws on more than 25 years of experience, and continues to research and actively follow updates and changes in these areas of law.
Blair has been described by his clients as easy going and approachable. He invites you to call him with your legal questions.

Courtney O’Connor
Courtney O’Connor is our most recent addition to the firm and with her she brings valuable experience in the areas of real estate, wills and estates, corporate/business law and land-use planning.
Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Courtney brings a deep-rooted connection to the community she serves. Her family’s presence in the region spans seven generations, giving her a unique appreciation for the local landscape, its people, and the importance of thoughtful, long-term planning for families and businesses.
Courtney is passionate about sharing in her clients’ successes, whether that means helping them purchase a home, start or grow a business, or put an estate plan in place for the future of their families.
Equally, Courtney is dedicated to supporting clients through more difficult times, including navigating the estate of a loved-one or simply guiding folks through complex and sensitive life decisions.
Courtney prides herself on offering a client-first approach to legal service. She is committed to being accessible, responsive, and approachable, ensuring that clients feel informed and supported at every stage of their matter. She believes strong relationships and a personal approach are essential to achieving the best outcomes, particularly in the areas of law that are closely tied to life’s most important moments.
